Science project update

I have received a lot of follow up questions about our science projects. They are officially complete (as of 6:30pm) and are not due until 8:00am tomorrow. Procrastination? I think not. We still had 13 hours to meet the deadline.

The titles were: Melting at the Speed of Chocolate and Savor the Flavor (pretend I knew how to change the font color on the flavor one. It should look like a rainbow).

I am actually pleased with how they went. Zak told me today that a few of his friends' aren't participating because their parents think it is a hassle. Well, it is a hassle, but I won't be that parent. It made me regret my complaining. I just need to feel a little more in control of my life before I feel capable of tackling extra projects like this.

***I will say that I spent 2 1/2 hours this morning trying to print the photos that are the proof that we completed these projects. It was an exercise in frustration from the get go. My computer wouldn't recognize the camera's usb cord so I couldn't sent the pictures to the store in advance. Target's photo center was out of order. The 30 minute place I went to ended up taking 1 hour. I failed to bring snacks in my diaper bag. All for 22 pictures. I think we used 6. So worth it. (note heavy sarcasm)

Maybe I will post a picture tomorrow.

On another tangent, a woman driving past me today stopped and upon seeing our large family, asked me if we have a tv. I think that is really asking if all I do is pro-create. Somewhat offensive. I am working on a witty comeback for the next time I am asked that question. Any ideas?

  1. Wow, I never know what to say to rude people. I once had someone ask me if Malia and Ainsley had different dads. I just looked at her like she was an idiot and told her that they have the same dad. Sorry I can't be more help. LOL

    Good job on the projects!

  2. snide remark: "don't you have a tv?"

comeback: "of course, how do you think my husband and I keep the kids out of our way?" -then wink at her

I was on the receiving end of a lot of strange comments about me and my kids when we lived in north carolina, I blame it on the south.

  3. You should have said, "Do you want to see your teeth spread out all over this pavement like Chiclets?" :) I think I got that from a movie... Or from a guy who has a really bad haircut. (Posted by Christian - as if you didn't know)
